Group Connect

It's  "speed matching" for groups! Come and meet a variety of people. On this night you will:

  • choose your own group
  • have a sit down dinner together
  • begin getting to know one another

You will go away knowing who is in your group and several tidbits about each of person and your group leader -- a very fun event you won't want to miss!

Offered at the start of each session: Join us this fall, winter or spring!

"Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others; I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." ~1 Cor 9:25-27
“As with a marathon runner, the secret to winning the race lies not in trying harder, but in training consistently—training with the spiritual disciplines. The disciplines are neither taskmasters nor an end in themselves. Rather they are exercises that build strength and endurance for the road of growth. The fruit of the Spirit—joy, peace, kindness, etc.—are the signposts along the way.” —John Ortberg, The Life You’ve Always Wanted

Seeking a place to belong at church?

You've found just the guide!

Discover how a Lighthouse home group can be a great fit! Our online directory, Group::Finder, is where you can browse different types of groups: multiple generations, young parents, parents of teens, marriage enrichment, mid-life singles, stepfamilies and more. These are regular people, God's family, gathering to grow together.

If you are new to small group ministries, consider reading the Q&A Section before you peek at the groups.

The Growth Challenge

Would you do sit-ups just for fun? Anyone who trains seriously at the gym does so with a goal in mind—a marathon to run, a dream weight to attain, a certain mental physique to achieve. Without that applied focus, who would go just for the fun of it? The same is true of our spiritual growth: You could “train” in theory, but how much greater would you exert yourself if you could see immediate help and change in a relevant area of your life? We invite you this fall to participate in “The Growth Challenge”—a 9-week session that addresses your top growth area.

You might ask, “I’m not quite sure what my growth area would be?”

This fall you are invited to participate in The Growth Challenge!  Using our Growth Project Handbook as a guide to focus your goals and then within your groups, you will be equipped with “exercises” you can modify to address your spiritual growth needs. This allows you to take a more active role in your own spiritual growth to see measurable progress. This is customized circuit training!
