Are you feeling the nudge of the Holy Spirit to start a new ministry at Lighthouse? We would love to help you create structure to your ministry idea by completing the following steps:

Step 1) Pray! Pray! And pray some more! If the Lord is behind this and has placed the seed of this ministry in your heart, He will make it happen according to His timeline.

Step 2) Any new ministry idea must meet the following qualifications:

1)      It must be biblically sound.

2)      It must not duplicate any other ministry within Lighthouse.

3)      It must not raise funds.

4)      It must meet a felt need within the church body or the local community.

5)      It must be led by a ministry leadership team.

6)      The leader and leadership team must attend Lighthouse Christian Center and be committed to complete CLASSES 101-301 within the next year.

Step 3) Write a Ministry Proposal according to the following format:

            What is the purpose of the ministry?

 How does your proposed ministry purpose fit with Lighthouse’s purpose of making more and better disciples?

What is the biblical rationale for your proposed idea?

           Who is the target audience for your ministry? Who will benefit?

            What needs will your ministry meet? How?

            Who will be on your team?

            What do you need to make this ministry a success?

  Funding needs:

   Space needs:

  Other resource needs:

            To whom will you be accountable?

Step 4) After we have reviewed your proposal, we will contacted you to meet and discuss your ministry idea. Once the idea is approved by the pastoral staff, you will be coached in creating a ministry action plan to help facilitate assimilating your ministry into the church body at Lighthouse.
