Great! You are ready to embark on an exciting journey to discover God's unique purpose for your life. We invite you to make an impact, both at Lighthouse and beyond; creating a ripple effect right where you are - in your family, your relationships, your work and your world.
Here's how: Join us on an excursion to uncover clues to your calling. As your tour guide, we invite you to explore using your gifts and abilities by trying several ministry trails until you find one that seems to closely
fit who
God created you to be. Your destination will become more clear as you actively respond in obedience to the light God provides for each next step.
Serving destinations vary according to your:
ministry area interest
level of desired commitment
time & schedule availability
gifts and abilities
level of experience
Here's your three-step Field Guide:
1) Explore: Survey the Ministry Map
Sign up for the upcoming Volunteer Orientation on January 11th at 11:30am. Here you'll discover your serving style and interests. We make it easy at Lighthouse to explore
serveral one-time serving opportunities (with no strings attached!) to
help you find your best ministry match.
Look over the "Ministry Hot Sheet" and "First ServeOpportunities"
lists available at the Connections kiosk. These are great ways to get
started serving and meet very practical needs at Lighthouse.
If you already have a good idea of where you'd like to serve and are ready to jump in, look
over the Impact Your World booklet and highlight
the ministry areas that most interest you. A print version of this booklet is available at the Connect Kiosk.
2) Examine: Calibrate Your Compass
Over a long excursion,
stamina is essential. You're much more likely to make it to your destination
and even guide others along the way on a trail that best matches what S.H.A.P.E.
you're in.
Attend
S.H.A.P.E. 301 Class . This class is designed tohelp you discover how God has uniquely gifted you to fulfill His
purposes in your life. The S.H.A.P.E. Class addresses five clues to your
calling: spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences that
will help you narrowly focus your ministry, work and life direction. Participants
will complete several personal inventories and then compile the results onto a Personal
Ministry Profile for future reference.
Sign
up for a follow-up S.H.A.P.E. interview to determine the best ministry role for
you based on your unique S.H.A.P.E. and receive a customized list of ministry
matches that most closely match your profile.
Make
necessary course corrections by taking the Evaluation of Potential Ministry
Area for "Fit". This evaluation tool will help you
reflect on your ministry journey so far and determine if any adjustments are
necessary as you continue on.
3) Expand Your Horizons
Let's say you've got some ministry experience behind you, but
you're looking to increase your effectiveness and multiply your impact. You're
trailblazing toward making an ultimate life contribution in God's Kingdom.
Here's some ways to increase your ministry
potential.
Attend
Spiritual Growth Seminar 401, Discovering
My Mission
Become

seasoned Lighthouse families for the duration of one month to help them
navigate Lighthouse and show intentional, personal care in finding out and
meeting their needs until they are connected to the Body at Lighthouse.
Start
a New Ministry at Lighthouse or the local community. Has the Lord prompted you to meet a ministry need that you
see going unmet? Let us know and we'll see how we can help. Please allow 1-2
months for the pastoral staff to review your New Ministry Proposal.
