Adam Roberts, Arts and Worship Pastor |
|

Five ways to describe
him: Creative, Passionate, Relaxed,
Reliable, Wearing flip-flops
What he does at
Lighthouse: In addition
to leading worship at all of the weekend services, Adam is responsible for the
overall direction of the worship and technical ministries at Lighthouse. He
typically spends his weeks planning and developing the worship sets, creating
graphics for web and for print, planning, filming, and editing videos for use
in services or other ministries. He also
works closely with Lee Barker (Director of Technical Ministries) to help
navigate in the places where creativity and technology intersect.
What's on his iPod: Phil Wickham,
Shane and Shane, John Mayer, Michael Rossback, The Soundtrack to "ONCE" (best
soundtrack ever!), Death Cab for Cutie, Hillsong, Foy Vance, Chris Tomlin, Miles Davis, Sufjan
Stevens, Jose Gonzales, David Crowder Band, Radiohead, Samuel Barber, Chicago,
Andrew Bird, Sleeping at Last, U2, Robbie Seay Band, The Beatles (no list is
complete without them), Paul Baloche, Sigur Ros, Tim Hughes, Michael Gungor...
The list could go on and on... (you asked the music guy what
music he listens to, what did you expect?)
What he's most
passionate about: He is passionate about using art
and music to glorify the Lord and using them to draw people closer to Him. He spends his time working and praying for
precisely that to happen.
Other stuff he's
passionate about: Frisbee,
"LOST", Mexican food.
What he did before coming
on staff at Lighthouse: He has
attended Lighthouse since he was in the fourth grade and has actively been
involved in worship since leading worship for the youth band throughout all of
high school. In May of 2004, he
graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Psychology and a
minor in Music and began working full-time at Lighthouse in August of 2004.
What he loves to do
when not at Lighthouse: Read, play
music, play sports, watch movies, play cards and other games (even the
occasional video game).
