No man can make it alone. God created us to need each other, to be in fellowship with one another.  Romans 12:5 states, "...we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others."  Yet men seem reluctant to accept this biblical truth and so we invest our time building barriers to relationship as opposed to bridges.

To break down these walls and meet men where they are at takes two things: time and a shared experience. The Sports Ministries at Lighthouse is dedicated to meeting men where they are at through the shared experience of sports, whether it be softball , basketball, cycling, fishing, golf, or any other "sport", that even includes bocce ball.

God made men to be active.  Therefore, the Sports Ministries' goal is to provide opportunities for the men of Lighthouse, and those men they invite, to engage in Christ-centered friendships, to encourage one another, and to build one another up in Christ so that they can fully experience what God has created them to be.
