Grace Ashram Home Helping vulnerable kids in India through sponsorship Currently 30 orphans call the Grace Ashram Home as their home. These children are either semi-orphaned (abandoned by one or both parents) or full orphans (where both parents are dead). Legal guardianship of the children has been granted to the Mathews family, directors of the home. This gives the children a sense of stability and belonging.  Children attend school near the Grace Ashram Home. It is run by the orphanage, but accepts other children from the commmunity. Over 100 children attend this school. Daily the children pray, sing, read the Bible, and learn memory verses. There is a weekly Kid's Club, Sunday School, and an annual retreat.Grace Ashram House is located in northeastern India, in the state of West Bengal, bordering the country of Bhutan. Conditions at the Grace Ashram Home are very basic, however love and care are abundant. There is a strong family atmosphere at this orphanage and this speaks to the loving care of the leaders. In addition to providing for the daily needs of the children, the staff at Grace Ashram House strive to help the children develop a personal relationship with Christ, to develop educationally and to become good citizens of India. Kidstown, and the Mathews, have a vision for God to raise up children who would go to other commmunities with the Gospel. Ligthhouse is partnering with them in helpign that vision be fulfilled.  We are partnering with Kidstown International. Their focus is on providing: 1. Helping financially with practical needs (electricity, beds, buildings) for Christian orphanages. 2. Encourage evangelism to, and among, the children with salvation prayer, bibles, videos, and camps. 3. Strategic evangelism in prayer, location, and culture
