Kidz City...1st through 4th grade
Growing in God's PromisesKidz City is our program for 1st through 4th grade aged children. This ministry provides kids with opportunities for worship and teaching in foundational truths about God that will benefit them as they grow. Lessons incorporate Bible stories, Bible verse memorization, crafts, games and learning activities to help kids grasp and value God's word. Wide Open Worship (WOW) 1st through 4th grade children are encouraged to attend Wide Open Worship downstairs in the Fellowship Center at the beginning of our 6:30 PM Saturday service and our 9:45 AM and 11:30 AM Sunday services at the main campus. Kids are led in a time of worship which incorporates singing along with movement. Live or recorded music which appeals to kids makes this a fun way for them to glorify God. Families may choose to have their children go to the kids' Wide Open Worship or attend the adult worship with their parents in the main sanctuary. Kidz City Classes in Weekend Services* Kidz City classes run from 7-8pm on Saturdays and 11:50am-12:45pm on Sundays following the worship time of the Saturday 6:30 PM service and the Sunday 11:30 AM service. Kids Church At the main campus, 1st through 6th graders all meet together for Kids Church following the worship time during the 8:00 AM service and the 9:45 AM Service.
At the Gem Heights campus, 1st through 6th graders meet together for Kids Church from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. A Bible lesson, scripture memory, games, crafts and learning activities are all used to help children learn and have fun while in Kids Church. Both small and large group activities keep the kids engaged, actively learning and building relationships with peers and leaders throughout the hour. Security Sign-In Parents of 1st through 4th grade visitors check their children into kids' classes at our Children's Minsitries Welcome Center located downstairs. They are asked to fill out a Guest Check-In Form and they are assigned a temporary paging number at that time. The parent takes one copy of the form while another copy stays at the check in center. If a parent is needed during the service, the child's number is displayed discreetly on the screen in the service. When parents pick up their children after service, they must return their copy of the check-in form to show that they are authorized to take the child. We use this system to maintain a safe environment for your children. Permanent Registration When a family decides to attend Lighthouse regularly, they should then register their child to be assigned to a class on our computer check in system and they will receive a permanent paging number. To do this, parents need to fill out and return the blue LCC Children's Ministires Registration Form. This streamlines the weekly check-in process by automatically printing a nametag and parent pick up tag. (Please be aware that this form is different than our Guest Check-in Form.) |
