There are times when a couple needs support in their marriage. Sometimes it is an issue that produces conflict in their marriage; sometimes it is simply a desire to grow closer together and grow in thier relationship with Christ.

We offer support in a variety of ways:

• Marriage Mentoring- Walking alongside another couple for 1 year for preparation, enrichment or restoration.
• Marriage Counseling- Our pastoral staff and our marriage counselor Connie McDonald is available to help you.

Connie McDonald

Connie McDonald serves part-time as the director of Family Life and Counseling as part of the Lighthouse ministry staff. Connie and Angus McDonald moved from the Yakima valley to the Puyallup valley 18 years ago. Angus has worked in construction managment positions and is currently involved in sales at Rainer Industries, a fabric and display products company.

Connie has spent a majority of her time raising their four children, Joy, Emery, Angus and Patrick the first 24 years of the 30 years they have been married. In 1998, Connie started a four year journey of attaining a bachelor's degree in Psychology, followed by 2 more years education from Seattle Pacific University's school of Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family counseling. The McDonald's are blessed to have been able to sit under the ministry of Pastor Art for many years and were part of the circle of believers who helped found Lighthouse Christian Center.

Both Connie and Angus enjoy reading a good book or viewing a movie to unwind from the cares of daily living. Connie loves peaceful walks with Angus when they can share their hopes and dreams. After 30 years of being a homemaker, Connie continues to enjoy cooking, sewing and gardening, but most of all the rich relationships of family and friends.
