Missions Weekend is an exciting time of celebrating all that God is doing locally and around the world through our missionaries. Our weekend worship services will feature guest speaker, Kendra Shaw, Missions Director for the Pacific Northwest of the C&MA. You will have opportunity to connect with missionaries over coffee and dessert on Saturday and during the Missions Conference on Sunday afternoon. Kids On Mission (KOM), a fun club for kids with a missions emphasis, kicks off this weekend as well. Come support our partners!

Building Bridges with Your Muslim Neighbor

Building Bridges with Your Muslim Neighbor

This dynamic, one-day workshop is designed to help Christians better understand Islam; to identify connecting points of conversation; to learn basic apologetics to defend Christianity; and most importantly, to build relationships with Muslims in our own community. Emad Wahba, an LCC missionary, will facilitate the workshop, asking two engaging questions: What happens when you try to grasp the meaning and reality of another faith and why is Islam worth studying? After providing adequate answers, he will give an overview of the five pillars of Islam, as well as the current windows of opportunity for relationship building and evangelism in our own neighborhoods.

Emad Wahba's interesting and practical approach to the topic is what makes this workshop appropriate and open to all ages Jr. High and up. Lunch is provided.
