Join us for "How to Help Grieving Children", a free workshop taking place the week before our next sessions of GriefShare and Kid Talk* begin.

Children who are old enough to love are old enough to grieve. While experiencing many of the same feelings as adults, children have a different level of understanding, depending on their age and stage of development. All adults wanting to be a caring presence for and have a positive impact on a grieving child or teen are invited to attend this workshop. Children 6-12 years will participate in planned activities while their parents are in the workshop.

Come learn how you can help your children and teens deal with their pain and confusion after the death of a loved one or friend. Through a video presentation, this workshop offers simple and practical suggestions from grief experts, parents, and children who are sensitive to the issues of grieving families. Discussion time will follow the video. The goal of this event is to give insight into the dynamics of children's grief.

Childcare 0-5 is provided with preregistration.
