Blessed Are They That Mourn
Matthew 5
:4

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 (ESV)

How Christ comforts us in our mourning:
1.) Immediate Redemption
4But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - 6and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:4-6

2.) Future Redemption
3...He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. 5And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3b-5

Questions to answer with God:
What sins have I become calloused to?
What negative effects do I see my sin creating?
What has Christ done to restore & comfort me?
