Sermon Discussion Questions

For the message recorded on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Ephesians 4:26-27 ESV

Discussion questions for the Sunday sermon are updated and posted here on Monday mornings. CLICK HERE for PDF.

• How do you respond to anger?

• Can you think of a time in the past when anger got the best of you?

• What anger have you found yourself justifying lately? Is there an idol behind this anger? Can you name it? Example: One thing that causes anger is when I feel my rights have been violated. When you got angry in the past… What right do you feel was violated?

• How quickly should we process our anger? (Ephesians 4:26) Why? (to not give the devil a foothold)

• How can James 1:2-4, Romans 8:28-29 encourage us when anger has caused destructive results?

• Why do we need to let God repay evil and not us? (Romans 12:19)

• What is a good kind of anger? What is a bad kind of anger?

• Think about the most recent time you were angry and felt it was for the right reason, a just reason. Are you allowing God to be God? Or are you trying to bring your own justice to that situation?
