God: The Center of Everything

Scripture Focus: Acts 17:24-28

"Before we can understand who we are, why we're here, or how we ought to live, we must begin with the most important question of all: Who is God?"

(A.W Tozer)

"God doesn't ask to be at the center because He wants to take away everything you love. He belongs at the center because only then can you begin to love everything else as it was meant to be loved."

(C.S Lewis)

"God doesn't simply want a place in your life. As Creator and Lord, every part of your life already belongs to Him. The invitation is to joyfully recognize His authority over all of it."

(Abraham Kuyper)

Saint Augustine argues that no earthly city (or kingdom or plan) can become the City of God, because the same disordered loves that built Babylon live in the hearts of those trying to replace it.

Closing Benediction

May God our Father, the Creator of all things, be the center of all you are.

May you find rest in His sovereignty, joy in His goodness, and peace in His presence.

And may you never forget: The God who made all things, is never far from you.

In the name of the Father, The Son, And the Holy Spirit

Amen.
