What am I chasing or trying to hold onto that I’ve begun depending on for a security and significance it was never promised to give me?
Closing Benediction
May you go from this place with open hands—
grateful for the good things God has given you, but no longer asking them to carry the weight of your life.
When success fades, when seasons change, when what you love cannot be held—
may you remember that Jesus remains.
May you loosen your grip on what was never promised to last, and hold tightly to Christ, who has overcome even death.
And when you are tempted to chase after the wind, remember: your hope is not in what you hold, but in Christ who holds you.
We pray this in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
